I'm a little confused, there seems to be a double standard going on around here.
Moderators on this forum are telling VIP Members (who have paid for VIP if you forgot) that they cannot lock their own topics to avoid bad replies/reviews.
So why does this not apply to topics in the Private Server section of which have been paid to be stickied?

My example is -> http://maxcheaters.com/forum/index.php?topic=209440.0

This topic had legitimate replies that were 100% on-topic from myself and other members that prove that the owner of that server is BBanHammer, which Haden is denying in the face of undeniable proof and hence deceiving the potential players. Something of which is 100% related to the topic, is not off-topic, and is not flame, and is something of great importance to the users who might consider playing on that server.

Yet once Haden paid to have it stickied it was immidiately cleaned of everything but positive reviews and locked. How is this allowed but VIP's, who have also paid, locking their own topics to the same end is not allowed, according to the Moderators?

Anarchy has showed you a perfect example of this already

i ll answer you as 3years (now ex-) staffer

fail things remain fail.you cant have only good comments.even if you do soon you ll realize that under the cover something is rotten!you cant hide the rotten

for me just do it...inform a mod to delete the wrong replies and unlock again if you need !meaning bad replies doesnt mean that any1 should or is forced to delete bad comments! in democracy there are 2 sides.hearing good things and be happy  and learn to accept criticism so you can become better.

In L2Off server's aren't found out to be fail until it's too late for most players to quit, as they get too invested either with their characters or donations, this is even more true now with the Gracia Final files because they are near perfect without modification from actual developers.
Therefore correct information about the person who's running it, and the fact that all the servers they have attempted in the past have failed, is essential information imo. All I did in that topic was inform potential players that Haden is BBanHammer so as to attempt to save them from falling victim to yet another one of his greed projects, and as most players wouldn't play on the server if they knew who Haden really is, I believe that information should stay in the topic.

you did what you believed it was right! furthermore, someone plays and pays at his own risk ! since you informed some people to be cautious by malicious server owners your job is done! if you notice such replies are deleted thats a bannable offence and should be reported to the site admins(whoever they are) and NOT in mods!

Another example would be Shakal btw, he locks his topics in which he is selling things to avoid negative comments and only unlocks for people to post positive stuff, then it is locked again ... and thus reducing the amount of people that would actually NOT what he is selling due to the negative posts.

If somebody is being exposed for what they truly are in a topic in which it can be read, giving the players a little bit of foresight into what they are getting themselves in to by joining said server then the topic should remain open, stickied and unmoderated. Censoring stuff just because someone throws a few $$ at Maxtor every month for the topic to remain stickied is completely absurd in my opinion and it inevitably destroys the community. Also as the person who is viewing the topic does not see any negative comments, they would be tricked into thinking nobody thinks anything bad of it.

That's why i never delete replies like that.

Well, about locking.

We don't allow someone locking topics in Marketplace, for obvious reasons. Shakal is the perfect example of this, and we won't let it happen

About private servers, there is not such priority(damn my engrish)
We would still unlock locked threads though.

But we never touch Sticky topics, since maxtor told us to do so.Also don't forget, that he is self-deleting bad replies, so it's pointless...

I am not either happy of this situation, cause everyone should have the right to express his opinion...but it's maxcheaters.

you should... ;) scammers are everywhere and if a vip would find out a scammer if they like , they could lock  the topic  and instantly report him.
about the stickies it happened sometimes to lock a topic...no matter if someone paid , rules are for all :D Noble art! :D :) someone paid to have his server advertised and stickied ...not protected from everything bad.

At least, i won't go against Maxtor for now. And he(paid sticky owner) can delete replies, so it's pointless

About the locking topics...i will give you an example of Shakal

He is always selling stuff that already shared in the internet. Then he locks his threads, and allows only positive feedback, preventing already shared links.
No, that's not just right, and it can't be controlled by a topic in a totally different section that will go under flames 100%

WeirdSituation on June 15, 2011, 08:28:37 AM
sx no reason to tell good things about noble, he is only vip now. thank you.

Noble® on June 15, 2011, 08:52:41 AM
keep this cleaned please.
//ontopic discuss what else??? ??? ??? ? since there is no official response what else could you discuss so you could keep it clean?  be more decisive, express your opinion or what really happens officially and not only showing your presence writing (non sensed ) replies that go offtopic most of times !

sx no reason to tell good things about noble, he is only vip now. thank you.

as staffer you should keep your personals with sx at your inbox!would you dekarma him or warn him for expressing good comments for other users?if he would flame me or someone ok warn him xD but warning him for saying good things? lol  :D ;D
